Oh, this just keeps getting better and better. I found this comment in a news article...

So far over the years I've bought 2 PS ones, 2 PS twos and 2 PSPs, as well as a stereo and 2 TVs. As far as brand loyalty goes I've been a die hard customer of Sonys.

Unfortunately this news has put an end to that. Living in europe, I was fairly put off by the seriously high premium buying a PS3 here instead of in the states, but getting screwed by waiting an extra 5 months too? Sony can kiss my arse if they think I'll ever spend a cent on any of their products again.

Lol, pardon my French but Sony is ****ed.

I don't think they lied to us as such because every console PS1, PS2, XBOX and the XBOX 360 all had bugs that needed to be smoothed out. But none are as big a problem as a Blu-Ray disc drive. But there lucky they found it before it went on sale.

Thats a pretty good point actually, still i stand by Sony the whole way. Its not the first time i've been disapointed like this and Sony will lose some support but since PS2 sales have skyrocketed since the recent price drop which have keept it at the top of the saleschart Sonys not gonna burn out any time soon.
