So after 8 years of viewing and watching this episode about a million times on ten repeats I finally understand why the Flaming Homer (or Moe if you prefer) is so great! It's because of our friend dextromethorphan or Dex, DXM, Robo, Skittles, Syrup, Triple-C. A drug that can be found most commonly in plain old over the counter cough syruip! Just like the kids cough syurip used in the flaming Homer (or Famous Moe) as the secret ingrediant. You see dextromethorphan is a drug used in cough syruip that when extracted or drank in large quanties can lead to a 'high' feeling, a false sense of well-being or even halusanations much like that of LSD. So in fact they were all high!!! OK go easy on me if you picked this up the first time around but hey I may be slow but I get there and I almost pissed myself with laughter when I put two and two together. So much in fact I had essay my discovery here.
As a fun side note in Futrama the secret to perfect flavour is actually water laced with LCD could this be a 1000 years of progress of the Flaming Moe (Flaming Larry)?
