I'm just wondering how common a lemon console might be, and the frustration that comes with it.
I bought a ps2 very early on, when it was like $700! I brought it home, and found that the disc tray closed by itself, and you'd have to be quick to get the game in. When i went to return it, they said 'we can't replace it, you have to send it to Sony to get repaired'. So after some frustration, i sent it, only to get it back 4 weeks later still with the same problem! I had to send it again, this time with a note saying what's wrong. After i got it back, it worked for about a year when the tray now refused to open! Various other problems continued until i sold it and bought a new one, hehe.
Did anyone else have any problems with any of their consoles?
