and nick, you mentioned no virus's in mac? right-o then...some people really od believe anything they see on TV. Well, it could be true...Ubuntu (a linux distro) is structured to prevent virus's. When ever you use the comp u r not admin unless using sudo, and if ur not admin the web pages ur visit arn't admin to. heres something similra to what i read somewyhere

"The problem with win is that you have to be logged in as admin to be able to do anything pretty much (i agree) with ubuntu you do, but all general, and common taks can be done as a standard user. The problem with win is that anything you download under admin has admin privelges, thus a website can upload nasty material that then has admin rights."

I havnt had my own comp since the days of win nt and 3.0... but heres wat my own comps OS history is:

Yeah pretty boring...but thats just my main comp. my p4 box:

However, today my hard drive with win on is partly corrup so i cant use that drive. So ive taken my p4's drive out and put it in my corrupt winbox, taken out my 120 gig SATA, put in the 80gig IDE, put win on.

and thats what im running now...gotta wait for my bro to run recover
