My baby is still in the stated. Fedex tracking is keeping me sane atm!! I love it! Its moved from New Jersey to Tennessee, and just departed Tennessee, and im guessing it going to California to be flown out there. The estimated arrival at my door step is Feb 5, 2007 by 6:00 PM. Though that is US time and date, which is 16 hours behind. So I think I will be getting it Tuesday, which sucks because I go back to school Monday and I just want to play for hours as soon as I get it!

I do think bass is easier to pick up and play, though advance techniques are just as hard as any other instrument I have found. For example, your typical bass riff from a typical rock song is extremely easy to play. Though if like me you are obsessed with bands such as Primus, Chili Peppers, it gets VERY hard to play slap so hard and fast.

Im just going to keep rambling here since so you can stop reading here if you want lol. But I like to think of bass not as a support to a electric guitar, which is what it was originally designed for, but as a lead instrument. Thats why I love and admire bands and bassists that dominate songs. Best example that everyone should know is the Chili Peppers. Listen to their latest album and you will find that bass is the main instrument, flea totally dominates the song, while John on guitar does his own thing, and the result is amazing.

Get your hands on Tommy the cat (live) by the band Primus, and thats the bass style i'm talking about.
