Well on the weekend im buying a DVD Drive (Yeah sad i know, only have the original CD Drive) and plan to install it myself to save a bit of cash. I have a friend who is giving me his Vista Ultimate for free because he simply dosent like it. I insisted on giving him money but he declined; Owell. Then after i get my Vista, i plan to upgrade the ram on my computer (Installed by myself again). Do you guys know of any good firewalls? I bought Zone Alarm Pro Edition. Its alright, except the damn dialog windows are annoying. I just found out i have 4 gig of space left.. LOL not good at all. Owell thats as much as i can type now share your storys...

I recently got a version of office 2007 small business and it looks so much better than previous versions and is really easy to use but in the long run it's just the same program and personally i think office xp was just as good.

good antivirus? SAV10 - Symantec Anti Virus 10.

repop u think ur optic drives r bad? heres mine:
a liteon 12x cd rw drive (about 6 years old)
a generic dvd drive looted from the hard rubbish (x years old)

Hmm...to install vista on my computer or not to...

If you have the memory and the hard drive space, also a decent Graphics card won't hurt either.

no it doesn't have quad core (but they do have the fastest laptop made) you can buy one second hand on ebay or you can get it custom built at alienware.com.au (you can choose what size ram,hardrive,gfx card etc.) Also what os are you planning on getting because you cant get more than 4 gb if you are using WinXp (8 gig is the highest for vista)

i hope u dont mean that 2gp of RAM is the minimum, cos i manage just fiiine with 512
