I have a walkman phone, a k800, though that maxes out at 2gb and a pretty small screen. The zune has very large screen, big hdd, good battery and looks sexy.

Yeah zunes have been out for a while now. The next zune is being released later this year.

Vinzor: irivers are the best, no doubt, I had a iriver h120 back in the day, I refused to get an ipod, man that mp3 player rocked, though I sold it for a PSP.

But the zune just seems to do it for me at the moment.

Ipods aren't audio players, they're fashion accessory's. They are just so common it makes me want to strangle everyone I see with those tacky white headphones... And the amount of times the word ipod gets said is just sickening... ipod this, ipod ****ing that! And honestly, what kind of a gimp would actually buy MP3's online? Especially for a phone... I have a 30gb Creative Zen Vision:M, the audio quality squashes the ipod's. I tested the same MP3 with my dads ipod video, it sounds so cheap and hollow compared to the Zen. Sorry dude but when you buy an ipod, you're only paying for the name...

ipods - there have been MANY complaints of them being broken. even when looked after properly...

now, how many people have seen ipod commercials? basically everyone who has one and everyone who hasnt had one.

The only reason you hear about them breaking is because so many people have them. There are bound to be probelms in any products its just so man people own them. That you hear about it the most.

Quality i highly doubht you did a controlled test anyway with same bitrate and same headphones.

All three of those are debatable.

Every person I know with an ipod has had to either get theirs repaired of its just died out of warranty.

ipods were very late to get video on an mp3 player and flash memory, and still haven't got wi-fi or a wide screen.

Anyone with half a clue about what makes a good mp3 player will defy the trend and find a cheaper mp3 player with more features, like a iriver or creative as an example.

If not all mp3 players lack this. What extra features do they offer, radio big whoop. Ipod has excellent features with massive market of 3rd party support and integration. How come i havent seen a creative dock.soundsystem yet so many for ipods.

Im sure you can find a cheaper product, but with the same sotrage ,ease of use and support i doubt it.

Ok dude, nobody copied ipod. The idea of an MP3 player with a hard drive has been floating around for years, since the first 32mb MP3 players came out in the late 90's. In four or five years, expect your average MP3 player to have about a terabyte of storage.

Also, V3 Razrs, PSP's and ipods are not revolutionary. The PSP was a flop, Razrs have the same features as those $99 cheap ass Motorola's, just a different form factor, popular doesn't mean revolutionary. Ipod? Just the first onto the market.
