I belive music is about free expression, regardless of what has been done to a piece of music.
While you belive that another musician should try to keep the integrity of another composers piece.
Needless to say, each argument is valid.
Although I still belive that Fur Elise, over done or not, is still a beautiful piece of music. That's why it's popular (or over done in your opinion).
Hmm, I just thought of something. If people only just played another composers music exactly how the composer wanted it, then what's the point of playing it at all? Every song played, regardless of who composed it, must still have the personal touch of the one playing it. Anyway, I digress. lol (I'm not hypo, that's why I'm making some sense).
