I see people post things about music a fair bit especially about upcoming (or a week late, in insectoid's case) albums.

So after seeing these threads about Linkin Park, Radiohead and others, i thought i might just squash it all in one.

I'm into Rock, some Hard Rock, but mainly Pop Punk/Alternative Rock, i will keep this place updated with the music i keep up to date with - which believe me, is a LOT - so if there's interest from you guys, i'm happy to update and contribute a heap here.

Okay, so i think the best way to kick this place off, is too go by the Title, and state 'New Music', meaning, music of 2007. Just for starters, we can trail off a little later maybe.

Ahh, I love your music IAC. Well, some it anyway. Great taste

My List

1. Pieces Mended - The Used

2. Electric In The Chair - Kisschasy

3. With Friends Like you, Who Needs Friends? - Kisschasy

4. Hawthorne Heights - Only If You Were Lonely. The Silence In Black & White

5. Marilyn Manson - Ka-Boom Ka-Boom

6. Marilyn Manson - The Fight song

7. Pantera - Out For Blood (Also, any of Their Songs)

8. Killswitch Engage (All Their Songs)

9. In Flames (All Their Songs Too.)

10. As I Lay Dying (Also, All Their Songs)

I have TONNES more songs that I love but I can't be F##ked saying them, I don't know they off the top of my head

Has any one heard Mika's song - Love Today?? I swear if I hear Fall Out Boy or Mika or Kisschasy's new songs I will break every radio I see.

By The Way, People have told me that Marilyn Manson's new album is pretty S#!t compared to his older releases. I love his old music. I haven't heard his new album, but one can not decide another one's decision/opinion.

Also, IAC, you should really listen to Lies For The Liars (The Used Newest Album) it's not as good as the other ones though.

They don't sound as darkish in my opinion. They sound like they are trying to step into the "Emo" Genre (I hate the term "Emo" so much)

P.S. is my post legitimate?? Because these songs aren't all that new.

You people have to shy away from the mainstream, trust me independent music is SO good, just spend a few hours searching myspace and/or wikipedia, find a heap of good stuff.

LIM, i've heard The Used's new album, nothing special. The Bird and the Worm is a great song, weird VIDEO but

My favourite Kisschasy song would have to be Ione Skye, just because i think every guy can relate to it.

They're new album is actually really good, i thought it was crap for like 2 months, couldn't believe i'd wasted my money on it, but now i really like it. Gotta love the Spray on Pants video .. send em back to England!

If there's an album to get this year, it is Anberlin - Cities. Get it BEFORE they're all over the radio, which will be mid-next year when their first Major Label release comes out

j-Fresh, you have to get Take Me Away by PWT's. From their previous album, it's faster and totally different, but extremely good song.

I don't get why there's so many people that like RnB and Hip Hop, i'm not bagging it, i just don't get it. Like they're all over the charts .... they're ALL also American, like one Hip Hop band has ever done anything decent in Aus, that is actually Australia. I can't even name an Australian RnB artist off the top of my head. Yet it's all over the charts.

Trust me guys there is some awesome music out there, that doesn't go near the charts, that maybe should. The only way Americans make it in Australia, is if they make it over there, and to make it over there, it has to be THEIR style of music .. which would obviously be more like a RnB style, but then i don't like how it congregates over here so much.

I'll say it again, i'm not bagging it, i don't mind a lot of it. Just not too happy with the amount of coverage it gets. Even though it is better than seeing Stephanie McIntosh hit number 1 of something

I agree with you. But I don't really like most of RnB/ Hip Hop songs. I hate the whole new "Emo Genre" so much. Examples of "Emo" Bands... Fall Out Boy, 30 Seconds To Mars, Good Charlotte(I sort of like their old stuff though), My Chemical Romance + more, I just can't think of them off the top of my head.

Everyone should go listen to taberah. <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=81602488">profile.myspace.com/</a>

And The Wizar'd. I'll get back to you on that later.

Taberah and The Wizar'd may contain coarse language.

Also, they have some videos of them playing at The Brisbane Hotel down here. Great music, been to a few of their shows.

Check out M.S.I.
And also some Soldier band, I forgot the name of the band but I'll get back to you guys later.

Parkway Drive was awesome, They are a great band. Saw them last Sunday night or the Sunday night before that. They were great. Love the moshing Hahaha.

IAC, I also like Spray On Pants never seen the film clip though. Ione Skye, Love the lyrics

Anberlin - Cities Anberlin being the band out Cities being the Album name?? I shall get it to see what they are like.

As soon as my all my friends have their band's myspace ready, I'll let you guys know so you can have a listen to them. Most of them just cover songs but change them into screaming or metal or something. Like, my friend, she changed the pokemon theme song into a metal/screamo pokemon song. Doesn't sound half that bad actually.

I understand IAC cos heaps of my friends are into metal. I dont listen to mainstream RnB because the songs do get overplayed and annoying like the song 'beautiful girls' by sean kingston which i heard first a while back. That song is now annoying to me.

I listen to songs that havent been released or some old songs that dont get played anymore like 'i believe i can fly' LOL Space Jam!!

Good album, get it ASAP. Yes Anberlin is the band, Cities is the album.

Spray on Pants:

I'm not the biggest fan of PD, like .. they're too GRRRR for me. I don't get how they've become such a big fad, a lot of people like them though .. so good for them.

As for the 'Emo genre' ... you have not yet mentioned an 'Emo' band. None of them are 'Emo'. They're all just stereotyped into there for having a darker 'Punk' look, not sound. Jimmy Eat World was the first mainstream band to be labelled Emo, and that was just because "the media were looking for a band to attach this 'label' too".

'Emo' was, and still is, some little independent 'scene' in the USA.

Anyway, that's my take on it. I'm seriously sick of hearing all the 'emo' crap. Cause all people do is label my beloved Pop Punk bands with this innaccurate title.
