I have never refilled, just flown, ended and if I felt like flying more I might, I've encountered many problems in the game like this, inparticular missions, where you have to land and taxi around, you have to get in the right place to the centimetre (I HATE IT ) missions where I found this are:

Telluride Landing
The Carribean landing one
Aleutian Cargo run
Innsbruck Approach

Get good at landing planes, it's somewhat the most impotant part of the flight, though the bigger you go, the harder it is. use rreverse thrust, brakes, flaps and air brakes to slow you down, and most importantly come in slowly to the runway.

firstly do the first 11 missions, they're all practice mission that are designed to teach you how to fly, just do them and think about what you are doing and you should get better at landing.

I don't know many airports in Melbourne as I live in Sydney and have never been to Melbourne, but pick an airport thats about 2-300Km away from a good well known airport (in my case YSSY or Sydney international.) and make basic runs to these locations

(do you use 2d or virtual c o c k p i t.)

My testing run when I install a new plane is
Nowra Military - Sydney International (Sir Charles Kingsford Smith)

and a longer more lesuirely flight is Canberra - Sydney.

Get to know the airport you are landing in, If you know how far back you have to descend and where the runways are, it is alot easier.

I got a concorde addon, though it was a struggle to keep in the air (bad model), it was still extremely fast in about 1 hour at max speed I got to around Adelaide Via Melbourne FROM SYDNEY.

The concorde (in case you don't know is my avatar) cruises at 50,000 feet and from that height you can almost see the entire continent!

Get this, its what I use:
