If i get a ps3 from Hong Kong will it be able to read and play the australian os3 games and stuff, Because my auntie is going to Hong Kong in march next year and i was thinking of i gave her $100 (australian) She coul;d get me a ps3 from there, because $1 of our money is worth like around $7 of there money, so i will be able to buy one then. All im asking is will a Hong Kong ps3 be abl to read an australian game, Or will i need to buy games from Hong Kong.

games are not region locked but most blu-ray movies are.. so if u decide to buy 1 from hong kong (which i doubt will be $100aud somewhere more around $300-$400) u'll have to import ur blu-ray movies aswell... plus u dont get sony aust warrenty so if anything happens to it, u'll have to send it back to hong kong

shoosh you, you don't know the facts.

PS3 games are region free, thus, your ps3 can play all ps3 games from around the world.

only thing is, the PS2 games that can be played are the HK region ones (donno what region number :S) so you wont be able to play aus PS2 games

I do know the value of money, My auntie is the one that Goes to Hong Kong, And its money is Very Different from Japanese money Leneham, My auntie tells me how the money works over there, Now unless you have been to Hong Kong i dont think that you would know neaither so i think i might just listen to her, Cactus. My auntie told me that $100 of our money is like $700 dollers of there money. So there four i will be able to afford a ps3 because My auntie told me that the ps3's are around the same price as here over there but just in there money ways, So i think i understand money exchange better then you cactus, Sorry

Only problem getting PS3 in HK is that if and I mean a big IF it stuffs up you have to send it to HK to get fixed so there is more $$$ for postage to get it there so there is your saving that you thought you were going to get by buying it overseas..

DARRRR so that means that she will get back $700. See i do know what im talking about, And i think my auntie is alot wiser then you and knows what she is talking about ok, She is 52 and has been to Hong Kong about 80 times in her life, I dont want to argue about it anymore, You will see in march if i get it or not ok then we will see who is rite.
