Get faster ram over more ram.

Maybe a better CPU? try to get out of the 800fsb part.

If you are like me and are VERY scarce financially, buy a good mobo! a very good one, same with case + psu, just get enough ram to last you a year, then slowly add more, if you get a decent mobo you can keep adding for years.

I can only access safe mode, but its really hard to back up with my nero not able to burn due to safe mode limitations.

Transport it over in safemode with networking (wont work for wireless). Failing that I can hand you an XP reinstall disc with SP2 on it and you can wait for the official SP3 to come out.

Well know that a faster way is probably to pull the harddrive out and plug it in as a secondary disc in another computer. Considering the size of how much you are moving then I think perhaps you should just reinstall XP.

I think so, that's what i'm doing, getting a 22" widescreen and plugging my aerial, wii, everything into it.

My life = Desk full of lots of wires + bed + food

hehe.

I think it does any simple yellow, red, white input, digital radio as well as aerial + remote, plugs into a PCI slot (much faster) and inputs in one of the expansion slots at back of PC.

I don't see why you would go for a bigger screen.. it only makes the gfx card and motherboard work harder.. shure big picture but at what cost..?

And you can get video capture usb s-video/normal yellow input for $60 NZ (so a bit cheaper oz) at DSE (need a line-in, which most sound cards have, for sound).
