World Series Poker - 7/10
If you love poker, buy this game. Don't even read the rest of this review, just simply buy it. If all you want is an easy and fun way to play poker I highly recommend WSOP for the PSP. If, however, you are looking for amazing, mind blowing graphics, pass this up. Let’s face it, this is no Burnout when it comes to graphics, but it is still a playable game. But if you can get past that, and the fact that the commentaries are dull and repetitive, then you have a pretty good game.
I love poker so this was a great title to me. However if you don't know how to play poker or if you have never even heard of poker, don't even bother, and where the hell have you been.
Gameplay: 10 out of 10
The game is simple, and because of that, its fun. However the game play is pretty repetitive but the depth of the game (2005 WSOP until the 2010 WSOP tournaments) makes up for that and gives you countless hours of poker play, even if it is basically the same thing over and over.
The Career mode is VERY lengthy. You will probably spend days getting through the main WSOP event, which is made up off, on average, 6000+ competitors, of which you probably play 75 to 100 of. There are also a number of other tournaments for you to play, such as Omaha, Texas hold em, and seven card stud.
Graphics: 2 out of 10
The games biggest downfall. Basically, they suck. Some of the worst graphics I have seen in any PSP game I have ever played (besides hot pixel 
). Another common problem is the ugly AI, which are often very dumb and predictable.
Sound: 4 out of 10
As stated before, the commentaries are dull and repetitive, as well as the npc's comments when ever they bet or fold. The only reason that this sound section doesn't get any lower, is due to the sounds that are made when you are on the floor playing poker. With the sound of people talking and playing poker in the back round, it actually sounds like a casino.
Replay value: 10 out of 10
There are a lot of different poker games that you can play throughout the game. Whether you play the favorites such as Texas hold'em and seven card stud, or unknown versions like Razz, you will always have something to do.
User Friendliness: 8 out of 10
Although they do you give you the option of making your own character and the ability to customize how they look, it isn't the deepest character creator I've seen. But you can change what their voice sounds like. Another great addition, at any time during game play you can click R1 to what hand beats the other hand. This comes in handy while playing unfamiliar versions of poker.
Price: 10 out of 10
And the main reason I picked up this game was the price. I picked it up for under 10 dollars and it supplied me with countless hours of poker play. It’s really great for pick-up-and-play type of gamers but I wouldn't recommend playing it for long periods of time because it is pretty mind numbing after a while
Final: 7.3 which equals 7/10
On a Closing note, if you are not sure you want to buy the game, rent it. WSOP on the PSP makes for a good multiplayer game as well and that should weigh in on your decision as well, but there are so many missing elements, that your love of poker has to outweigh your dislike of this game. Replay value is what pulled the trigger for me to pay ten dollars for this game and I still play it from time to time.
