Untold legends, The brotherhood of the blade - 5/10
OVERVEIW
Untold Legends: The brotherhood of the blade was the first game I bought on the PSP. And I had played it before over my mates place. And it is a pretty good game; it begins with a little struggle in a hotel, trying to rescue the town from the preatox spiders which leads to defeating the queen spider Athloxia. Although the townsfolk have been poisoned, you must go on a quest to get the antidote, only to discover this goes further than the preatox,
and that the whole world not just the town is in danger.
STORYLINE
This games lacks a story line, I swear, I have started this game five or six times and have never finished it. You know the story but you just can’t get into it, they have bridged gaps in the storyline so that you have to save this damsel and kill this ghoul and slaughter this soldier, and it you end up forgetting what you were supposed to do. So to be perfectly subtle:
4/10
GAMEPLAY
The Game play in this game is pretty decent, ranking up in the high sevens, low eights. If you don’t grasp the storyline, the game play is the only reason you will continue to play. With the trading of items and the fighting of creatures and the murdering of civilians (if they are renegade ones and it on a mission… bummer really) its non stop but pointless action. No not like GTA that’s pointless violence, that’s just evil. So either way I give it an:
8/10
Graphics and Detail
Well the graphics and detail is alright, it’s just the camera angles can be so annoying. You can’t have the detail to good or else you can’t see what is about to murder you, and if its on the far setting you can only see so much of what isn’t going to kill you. So it gets a bit annoying, but the detail of the game is quite good, all the characters look… as real as a computer game can look, but not ps3 look I mean, Ken Doll look… well moving ken doll look. Also the camera spin is pretty annoying, leaving you dizzy and confused when there are more than five enemies attacking you at the same time. So I dub the graphics and detail:
4/10 (because it looks alright)
Goodies and Perks:
None, which is pretty, crap. Yeah you can buy cool weapons and all, but the only incentive to this game is, when you finish… wait for it… YOU GET TO PLAY IT AGAIN!!!.... But that’s not all! FROM SCRATCH!!! I mean come on! Seriously, I spent all that time in utter confusion and annoyance running through that forest, going back to the city, and running back to the forest, going to the necromancer, running back from the necromancer into a teleporter to kill some harlot. AND YOU TELL ME TO DO IT AGAIN????No, no, no, no… this is not the game that should have incentives offered. I give this section my very first
0/10
Conclusion
Well when I bought this game, I did like it. I got it for 25 bucks at EB games. Not platinum. This is an alright game, but I bet you any amount of pizza dough that the game on the left of it, or on the right, in the store you’re buying it from, will be better. So all in all, and rapping it up pretty quickly, I give it a nice big juicy fat…
5/10 (and that is being generous)
