Some keen internet users have noticed that the Brite PSP 3000 has mysteriously disappeared from the hardware section of the Official EU PlayStation website. Doing a key word search now only returns limited results, further raising to question to exactly why everything is disappearing. Meanwhile the newest version of the console still exists on the US PlayStation Site but has had it's description edited. Conspiracy!

It originally said
'This system features an improved LCD screen with the widest color gamut'

Now it currently states
'This system features an advanced LCD screen with the widest color gamut'

While this isn't exactly hard hitting evidence there's nothing to suggest it's time to start smashing things in an angry fit of rage (yet). However something strange is going on, perhaps it's just a EU site update, and a slight revise to the description because too many people are sitting around with nothing to do? Or does this mean that the PSP 3000 does in fact need to have it's LCD screen replaced which "advanced" LCD's?

Does the PSP 3000 need to be replaced with 'advanced' LCD screens?

We'll have more information as it makes itself available, in the true nature of the internet conspiracy theories are suggesting all sorts of ludicrous ideas. The most likely of which at this point would appear to be replacement LCD screens being on the cards or an update to the site and the description of the console. Reports prior to the mysterious changes about the PSP 3000's interlacing features have fueled the speculation fire that the consoles will be recalled. Leave you thoughts believe, perhaps it'll be you who cracks the mystery!
