That Yian Garuga quest is permanent once you've done a certain quest the 'correct' way. You don't have to do it until much later, when you've completed all Elder Quests. There's no way you can repel Yian with an Assassin's Dagger, of any weapon of that level. I can't remember what element YG is vulnerable against, but you'd need a strong weapon combine with other enhancements to repel/kill it.

It's okay. I managed to repel Yian Garuga with it on my first try, with only the items the give you in the blue box. The stupid thing is you have to hit the head, otherwise it'll just bounce off. The water damage still goes through though, broke off eveything off it's head and chopped off it's tail.

I'm going to try to fight it for real now, see if I can kill it with mega demon drug equipped.

Yeah, it's the same one. When I went back the second time, it's missing it's tail, half it's face and wing claws It still knocked me out though, stupid crazy mode is so quick.
