It's a hardware level sort of hack so there's nothing that any mobo protection can do to block it from downgrading and if it bricks it can be unbricked anyway.

no u can revert ur memory stick back to a normal one by using the format option on ur psp and wen u want to make it a magic memory stick u can do the steps u did to make it once again.
