But when i get my 320gb HDD im going to split the partion so it dual boots. The other OS i will have will be Ubuntu

Duel booting the best way to go for a secure system. Use XP just for a few games and Ubuntu can run the rest for you plus it's fully safe from viruses and such. Nearly everything you would want to run in XP runs in Ubuntu. I would be making the most out of using Xubuntu on my new computer but something about my video card conflicts with it. When I buy my new hdd it's the first thing I'm loading onto it.
