For those that can't be bothered reading the links, the dog apparently escaped about a day after the exhibition.
Like Mateo said, it was also apparently fed, and only tide up for about three hours.

Yes, that is exactly my query too.. What purpose does it really serve.. Art is just becoming more and more wacky, or abstract if you prefer.. :S Not my cuppa tea, give me some classic Monet any day!
