The Sims 2 Review. - 8/10
The sims 2, has become a sucsessful franchise, started by EA GAMES. In the sims you can build a family and home and live their lives. In the Sims 2 you can do the same, with more features. This game is great on the PC.
Then.... The Sims suddenly appears on the PS2, "The sims: Bustin out", which really wasnt that bad, nor good. it was an "ok". then The SIMS 2 comes out on the PSP SYSTEM, which is leaving a big Question. The common questions that have been asked about this game is:
-is it good
-can you build a house
-does it load forever
-can you die
-how does it look on the PSP
.. questions like this can only be answered by the people who play the game. I recently purchased the game for $25 brand new, because i wanted to answer these questions.
In the sims 2 on psp, it is very different from the other sims games. the game, itself isnt as good as what people thought, but, it isnt on other consoles like this... There was a twist for EA. How should we make it. So, they ended up making something like never before, but keeping the same concept. You go to "Strangetown", a place in the middle of nowhere, as your car breaks down... the game starts from there. as opposed to the loading times, to me it isnt that bad at all. i am patient, but specifically looking at the loading times, it is ok. people think that it is imposssible to complete the game, thats wrong, you can. The game may tend to load often, but the worst offender for loading times on the psp is midnight club 3.
Here is my review/marks.
Graphics- 8/10
the game looks great, as opposed to others on the system. the game looks nice and tidy in appearance.
Sound- 8/10
Isnt it nice to hear people to speak in a language that you have never heard of? its nice and the stereo/cd players in the game feature some good tracks.
Gameplay- 7/10
Its totally different in gameplay, as opposed to the sims on pc. in this game you have missions that you need to complete. it is a third person game, with the PS2 look, sort of. the game is great, and the missions might challenge you, and dont forget the wants and needs...
Controlls- 8/10
This game is pretty simple in controls:
Analog stick/D-Pad: Move around
L/R: rotate camera angle
X: action
O: the gadget bar thing
Square: the aspirations/goals bar
Value- 8/10
i cant say much at the moment, and it depends on the user .
Multiplayer- 8/10
there isnt much multiplayer, but you can send your players over to each other, and so on.
Overall- 8/10
great game, loading times just a bit slow, and the rest is all goodness. Enjoy
