At work tonight, driving there, there is ****ing panic everywhere. The servo has 100 cars lined up waiting to get petrol in case we have to leave. Every car is taking off like crazy and just being frantic. Get to work and they say go home if you have to, i chose to stay. About an hour and a half into my *bla. afk for half an hour lol* shift, a girl i used to go to school with comes in the front (big supermarket this is) and says there is a fire next door in the servo. We run out, a couple of cars are blowing flames like crazy. Run inside, get everyone out, people are just dropping their shopping, wallots, phones and running. Girls are crying, people just frantically sprinting. Then i go outside 2 mins later and theres a chopper in the air, fire trucks, cops.. **** havoc broke lose. I drove my car around to the main street (probably went too close to do this but meh) and there was... 2.. cars in the main street. Half an hour later, there were at least 200 cars. Whether it was ppl looking to snoop at the fire, have evacuated from houses, or were trying to pass through, i dunno. But it was crazy. Scary times.

And i have friends that live less than a km away from the Upwey fires, in the path of the fire. Frick.

Oh i didn't say how it started. A lady dropped the petrol bowser, it sparked, the petrol continued to flow, turned into a flamethrower i guess, caught the car alight. She had burns up her arm and neck. In a pretty bad state, just mainly shock i guess.

I did help workmates who were shiatting themselves, however i did not win any over, no. lol
