Oh yeh! I'll be watching this even though its at 2am! This is my fav sport and this is the BEST competition ever! Lets go the Croatians!!! My pick is that Germany should take this game, probally 2-0. Costa Rica are playing okay, not a great team but still pose a threat to the Germans.

The Aussie shall have a tough opening match against Japan. The last game against Lichtenstien wasnt very good, even though its was a 3-1 win, they played very averagely and against such a poor team they should have scored more especially with all their opportuinities missed. Viduka could be injured which isnt good for them. Japan is coming into the match with a fairly good make up, look for key players such as Hidetoshi Nakata, Koji Nakata and Shunsuke Nakamura. Im predicting a late Japanese goal making it a 1 - nil win. The Aussie wont be too convincing and neither will Japan but their experience in the WC will give them that winning edge.

Anyway i'll post again tomorrow with a re-cap of the game

LOL! Yeh i'll post here everyday, i luv my football (soccer). Such a damn good game and i've got a good knowledge about it....i'll post some World Cup news here too....well here's my first story.....

A sad sad day for the French football team and Liverpool FC, they're start striker, Djibril Cisse' broke his leg in a friendly against China. Djibril suffered the injury after just 10 minutes on the field. Just 20 months ago he broke his leg in 2 places and now it seems his career is in serious doubt. Extremely distraut, he left the field immediantly and was rushed to hospital.

For those who dont know Cisse very well, he is a star in my eyes and one of my heroes, such a shame for this magnificent player to lose his dream so close to the start of the WC

I guess i'll have a bit of a chat bout me good old Football over the next month to.

As much as Cisse's a big loss for France, i've worked out he would be my 4th choice striker for them behind Henry, Trezeguet and Saha. Also you didn't mention it's the second time he's done it in the exact same spot.

Tonight i'll probably watch the opening ceremony and i'm guessing it's gonna be boring so i'll fall asleep before the Germany v Costa Rica game. 3-1 germany though.

England plays Paraguay tomorrow night at 11pm and then Sunday night it's Holland vs Serbia at 11pm, so some good quality early games. And then of course Australia v Japan at 11pm Monday night.

i actually found a prediction site on the Fox Sports website, you can either pick your World Cup Dream Team or Predict who's going to win all the games.

WC Predictions

I'll give my opinion bout the Australia game in a few days.

Actually i did mention it ...' Just 20 months ago he broke his leg in 2 places' Yeh i do think Henry is ranked better than Cisse BUT Trezugeut wont be playing too well, he's come outta retirement just for the WC i've heard and Saha hasnt done much in the past 4 months.

Zidane will probally come forward to boost the french strikers whilst Henry moves back a bit to a midfield position but can press forward very quickly once the ball comes into the French half.

I doubt the Germans will score 3 goals man, seriously no Ballack = not a full strengh Germany. He really is their best player and will provide a big hole in the team.

That is just my opinion, Germany is a much better team than Costa Rica, and my prediction was based on how bad Costa Rica is not how good Germany is. The only Costa Rican player i've ever heard of is Paulo Wanchope and he's retired isn't he?

French strikers: I suppose you're right, Trezeguet has been playing second fiddle to Imbrahimovic at Juve, but he wasn't retired. That was Zidane and Thuram.

Saha was keeping one of the most prominant and leathel srikers in the world out of the Man Utd starting team, causing Ruud to leave. So he has a right to play.

Well last nights opener was a great match which provided much entertainment. The opening game was something of a good thing for the WC, it provided an early 3 goals and entertainment which most people enjoyed. Now lets get to some re-capping.

Okay, as i stated before the game started off with the very early 3rd minute goal from Philipp Lahm gave Germany the lead with a good strike and made the crowd go beserk. Paulo Wanchope beat the German defenders to set up an opportunity to score with only Jens Lehman to save the shot but Wanchope pushed the ball just centermeters wide of Lehman's foot to score Costa Rica's openers. Many believed this was off-side but TV replays prooved that it was too indecisive to call but it was 1-1 after just 12 minutes.

Miroslav Klose was put in a prime placement as scored Germany's 2nd goal to give the home nation the lead back in the 17th mintue. Klose scored once again in the 61st minute making the scoreline 3-1. Wanchope embarrased the shakey German defense to make it a bit more even but it was Torsten Frings 30 yard volley which brought the house down! Amazing goal!

Well the game was one which i believe made a succesful start to the WC campaign, lets see how the other games turn out! Enjoy some pics guys!

England vs Paraguay play at 11pm, then Trinidad and Tobago vs Sweden at 2am then finally Argentina vs Cote D'Ivoire ( Ivory Coast) at 5am!

TKOK: I played as a defender all the time, i've never enjoyed Midfield because of the chance of injury you get from following the ball and my team has 4 great strikers so thats that. I've score only 10 or so times, all from penalties apart from one which was a cross but the goalie misjudged it.
