I'm into hunting. Occasionally we go up just west of Cairns to go hunting for wild boars and turkeys. South Australia is good for deer.

Not my exact one, but it hits 320 feet per second - now if you don't know how powerful that is, one of my cousins has the same bow. In a video he shot, he shot a wild boar in upper Queensland with the bow. The arrow went right through the pig, side on, and dug itself into the tree behind it. This speed could easily penetrate 3cm of steel.

So, what I want to know is

Does anybody do it
Ever been interested in it
If you do it, what kind of bow do you have
And are you into targets or hunting.

Crossbows are good, yes, and very accurate... I could have got a crossbow instead, but I prefer the finesse and technique involved with a bow. Also, crossbow parts are VERY hard to find. Reliability of a crossbow is also considerably lower compared to a bow. Less morving parts - more reliability.
