24yr old Sydney sider here.

Went over to Japan 2 weeks ago and PSPs were cheap so picked one up over there.

So far the only game I have is Winning Eleven 9 which I picked up in Japan for $20AUD. Yes, its in Japanese and I cant read a word of it but its soccer so who cares?

Just ordered Final Fantasy Tactics and Killzone for PSP though. Looking forward to getting into them when they arrive!

Yep. Did all the research before I bought it. UMD movies are region locked, but if i want to watch a movie ill just watch it from the memory stick (who buys UMD movies anyway?). Games for the PSP are not region locked - just like the PS3 :o)

Mate, no one buys UMD movies. Just convert your movies to MP4 and watch it off the memory stick. A movie cuts down to 400MB or so if you make it fit PSP screen size, so if you have a 4GB you got room for all your music and movies.

As I said, I got mine in Japan a few weeks ago :o)

ive had my psp for awhile now, the reason why i bought it was so i could be entertained on those long boring train trips to work and back. then i ended up moving to perth not long after and now i never catch a train. so now i just use my psp as a wifi controller for mame and use portable vnc so i can still use the computer whenever i sit on the loo. yay!
