NOTE: IN DOING SO BELOW, THERE IS A SLIM CHANCE OF BRICKING. USE THIS GUIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK! ============================================================================ 1. First, check if your GTA: LCS is a downgradable copy. If it comes with a 2.0 Firmware update its downgradable. ============================================================================ 2. Now with your downgradable copy in your PSP, Download this package here [ http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=12431 ]. ============================================================================ 3. In the meantime, Backup everything on your PSP (Copy and paste all of it to a new folder) ============================================================================ 4. When finished backing up, on your PSP go to Settings, Then System Settings, Then format memory stick. ============================================================================ 5. With your PSP's memory stick formatted it will make all the correct folders for that PSP version. ============================================================================ 6. With the downloaded folder in step 2, Rename it so it is in capitals (E.G 'PSP') And let it overwrite the original in the root. ============================================================================ 7. Now download the 1.5 EBOOT Found Here [ http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=163 ]. When downloaded it, Unzip it and name the "EBOOT", "UPDATE". ============================================================================ 8. Put the "UPDATE" file in the "PSP/GAME/UPDATE" part of the memory stick. ============================================================================ 9. Now, boot up GTA: LCS and wait for the load screen. If it comes up a light blue screen then black thats what we want. ============================================================================ 10. Check "System Settings" and if it says "3.03 HEN" then your on the right path! ============================================================================ 11. On the PSP, go to the GAME part then to the MEMORY STICK part. You will see "PSP Update ver X.YZ" Click on it. ============================================================================ 12. Follow the promts WITHOUT inturupting it. And if all goes well, you will have firmware 1.5! ============================================================================
