Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories was the newest edition of the Grand Theft Auto saga, when it hit shelves in November 2005. Liberty City Stories is still one of the highest rating PSP games, and definitely the most popular. Showing marvellous graphics the story of an Italian gang mafia member is extended from the original Playstation and Playstation 2 epics. Rockstar games have shown commitment to us loyal PSP users by giving us our own unique game, with new missions, new gameplay and a top of the line experience in one of the most used Playstation games ever. Graphics 8.5/10 Compared to other PSP games, Liberty City Stories expresses great graphics, especially background features. Gameplay 7/10 Gameplay can get repetitive and if you get bored with the missions, you can always just become the crazy homicidal maniac that runs around wiping the civilization off of the map. Sound 5.5/10 There is a wide range of music and radio, when you here some of it for the first time you will laugh, but then you’ll probably get bored with it and end up listening to the classical channel. Music 8/10 The real problem with Grand theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is the bloody sound problems, you can hop on a motorbike and in around 20 seconds you will hear the roar of the engine, the delay in sound effects can get very disappointing. Sound 3/10 Game Controls: 10/10 I must admit I’ve never owned a Playstation, so I had never played a GTA game. I literally was playing this game with no problems in around 30 minutes, A Grade options to change the controls to suit you. Difficulty: 8/10 As much as LCS is supposed to be very similar to GTA:3 on PS, the missions can get a bit difficult, and take a while, if you’re interested and committed then you will have no problem completing a good portion of the game. Overall: 7.8/10 It takes a while to get used to, but when you’re into it, you will be interested. As much as Rockstar has created a very successful series, they do have a lot to go and much to improve on. Edited on 16/6/06.
