Guides \ How to Change Your Faceplate

What you need:

  • Small Phillips Screwdriver

Notes:

  • To install a faceplate you must remove/damage the void warranty sticker, sony will not repair the PsP under warranty if the sticker is damaged.
  • Be careful with the screws because it's really easy to stuff them up.

Instructions:


Step 1: Flip your PsP over and take the battery out, get your screwdriver and check the picture below to see which screws need to be taken out, one of the screws is under the void warranty sticker.



Step 2: Once you've removed the screws lift the PsP up while holding the faceplate to seperate the 2 parts, put the PsP somewhere out of the way for now, look at the picture below and you'll see which parts need to be moved from the old faceplate to the new to the new facelate.







Step 3: After putting all the parts inside the new faceplate gently lower the console back onto the faceplate, make sure you take the thin plastic protector off the screen, screw the PsP back together, it's best to leave the silver screw on the bottom until last. Once your finshed putting all the screws back in flip it back over and checkout your PsP's fresh new look.

Yeah I only added the phat guide here, I can't put all my guides on here...even though the slim is basically the same.

Thanks, yeah slims have 2 extra screws on top and there's a plastic part on one side that holds it down.

The pictures on my site are larger and there's some of the slim.
