and nah, there are not ring style profiles *one of the negative points of this phone* but i's ok.. i just switch from ringing to silent when i need to. also, i never read the manual, i like to explore the phone on my own so wouldnt know how the manual is.
and with the charging via usb, dont worry about it it wont kill your battery cos the charging via the USB is slow (i.e compared to the charging via the AC adapter)

all in all, how are you finding the phone?

edit: btw, thats good news ur on a 33$ plan instead of $45. but do you get 'yes time' and what are your call rates like? i heard B had really insane (not in a good way) call rates

and all i wanted to know was that silence thing (silent and ringing) so that solves all my problems with the phone

It's awesome!! not sure how good the camera is, but i always have my 8MP camera with me anyways so it wasn't really a priority in buying this phone
It's awesome, and i have you to thank for suggestin it HT-- (otherwise i'd be stuck with the Razr...)

call rates with B are different to that of Optus. they are higher. my friend was on B and switched to the real Optus because of the call rates. but the 10mins for 30c is good, but dont u have a limit on that?

sms=24.2c
mms= (sun-fri) 60c, (fri-sun) 30c
call costs are high... 25c connection+ 43c national call cost (presumably per minute...)

I lose rollback and stuff too (which is one'a the best things bout optus)...
Shuda really looked at the smallprint more, but oh well... i'm stuck with it now

hey egos thats not too bad of a deal on ur plan..mine's:
-$45/month with $45 worth of text/MMS/calls -- i pretty much wont use all that a month
-rollover credit from each month accumulating up to 3 months worth of unused credit (very handy as i wont use all my $45 worth of text/calls/MMS every month)
-rates of: 25c sms, 50c or 70c (one of the two) MMS, nationalANDinternational calls cost 37c per 30secs + 25c flagfall, 'yes' Time --make 20 min calls after 8pm to midnight free

either way i love my phone and i'm glad i got it! figured out the phone's functions n stuff yet?

not always, pre-K750 SE's seemed to have a problem with the charger port. even if it was plugged in securely, the phone would make a beeping noise, notifying you that it is not plugged in properly, it would keep doing this till the phone would just switch off. i've seen this happen with the k700, z1010, z500 and a few others. however it is good to see that latest SE phones have fixed this problem. sony ericsson, samsung, nokia -- these are the most easy to use phones/user-friendly

edit: btw mate if you need any help with uploading java games to your d600, give me a yell. and i'm also contemplating modding my d600's firmware some time. just need to read up more on it to see if it's safe.

if you're asking in terms of when the USB charges the battery when it's not completely drained out, then thats fine.. just dont charge via the AC adapter until its lost about 2 bars of battery. AC charges with higher voltage thus it charges faster.

i d/l my java games via P2P networks and through FTPs because then i know that the game will actually work because they usually state that they are compatible with the certain phone. the instructions to get it working are quite harder than other phones (e.g. latest nokia phones that have a direct java install application in its software package).

tutorial and information on software required to install java applications/games onto D600
