Well I know it's horrible and disrespectful, but to be honest I think we're better off without him. He makes all Australians look like dickheads and we're not (well some of us are) But I'm sick of Australian stereotypes, he was just ridiculous.

Get over it . . . .

I saw the Sunseeker (Inlet Rescue) going flat chat past my boat, and through Trinity Inlet with him onboard, he's on a cold slab in Cairns Hospital Morgue here, apparently, for those who give a damn (which I dont).

Push up them daiseys worm food.

Nah, didnt see his body, although he died almost instantly, he was 'pronounced' DOA at a resort near where he was diving, about 20 - 30 mins after the event.

I'm guessing he was in a body bag when they passed by, there was Coroners van waiting at the main slip.

Thats just a pointless thing to say.. perhaps life would be better off without your personality but that doesnt mean you 'deserve' death.
Him being 'ridiculous' was who he was on and off screen. he was passionate. Who cares if people stereotype us because some guy was passionate...
I worked for Americans before they even got Steve Irwin and believe me they thought that about us long before he was around. They thought we battle kangaroos to get out our front door, and planes landed amongst them. And that line 'thats not a knife, this is a knife' was said to me time and time again. So I dont think Steve is to blame for all of that. Perhaps you should consider moving to another country with a 'stereotype' you prefer to be a part of. Personally I couldnt care less what others thought LOL doesnt affect my day to day life in the slightest.
