I agree that people can take things too far with trying to out-do others with dedications, but like i said, if he meant something to you... you have every right to show your respect... and if you didn't like him, its your obligation as a civilized human being to also respect him by not disrespecting his family. For those of you who have been blatently insulting his life, i'm sure you've never had to deal with the loss of someone close to you dying, and if you have... then you've got a strange way of sympathising.

He was a person to you know, as everyone has said he has a family, friends, and many, many supporters of his cause, and fans.

Steve gave people a reason to be excited, he lit up his audiences, he was just a 'bundle of joy', full of excitement, a harmless family man, who Wouldn't hurt a fly. Steve Irwin gave people a reason to live, be free. and live their life to the fullest.
