But guys...don't start bagging out others' dead family or friends. I for one know what its like to lose many friends to drugs, alcohol and suicide. I just ask you have respect for each others' passed ones. That shit's just not on.

Nah, let him go . . . . . he is proving my point, almost perfectly.

Like most self righteous people, when you corner them with facts, they resort to low shots.

I'm sure a lot of other people have lost respect for him too. (even the ones who dissagree with my outlook, with Irwin)

(give em enough rope and they will hang themselves)

One day someone close to him will die, then he will know what we're talking about.

I don't care who it was or what they said, DJaye. Dead family and friends should never be used in vain. Especially used in order to insult someone else. So this is a message to ALL OF YOU...no more bagging out dead relos. That's the bottom line from me.

And yeah, mate, I still moderate MyPSP. I never left.

i really didn't want to go on with this .. i was just going to say you should open up MS Word and start writing the book you are going to let out on how you don't give a shit about people dieing.

BUT. . . . . . you never cornered me with fatcs .. i had nothing to do with it .. i was just basically twisting your words ... what do u mean by the rope?? like seriously .. what do u think i want to kill myself .. just because you say some shit about death, i really dont know? ..

Djaye man .. you have just made it pretty clear that you couldn't care less if someone was shown respect after they die . . but then you say someone close to me will die and i will know what you are talking about?? i really don't get it? Are you saying that i will know that no one should care .. explain?

He's a bottom feeder dude, do you think he really gives a rats bum?

Anyway, good to have you back m8, at least we wont have to worry about you waving your magic wand (as Finn says) and locking down all the threads that dont have Mickey Mouse as the subject heading.

guys i think this getting out of hand. djaye, i know that a death in the media can be blown out of proportion, and i know the feeling of the lives of the ones we love seeming like they dont go appreciated compared to those over glorified just because they were famous. But the matter of the fact is this man was one of the few that made a big difference in this world for a better future.

My point is, that in 4 weeks time it will all be forgotten, so does it really matter?

Yeah . . . . it really must have made an impression on ya, the anniversary is on monday, not 4 weeks. ////////OWNED///

The only reason you know the date, is because the event is known as a date.

I'll give you 6 weeks, and you wouldnt even remember which month Steve Irwin died in.

The collapse of the World Trade Centre, is a little more noteable than Steve Irwins passing.

Anyway, you best get to bed, and get some sleep, you are off to Primary School in the morning. Why not take your Steve Irwin Figurine to Show & Tell, and leave the grown up talk to us adults.

Remember: The only thing worse than a know-it-all (me), is a know-it-all who knows nothing (you)

Ok, this has gone on long enough.

People deal with death differently. No matter what, we all grieve, but we grieve differently. And this is the perfect example of people grieiving differently. IAC and DJ are on opposite ends... and thats why you both cant see the same thing. (Im not picking on you, just using the examples).

Whatever happens, show respect to the dead and don't bring dead relatives into insults (which I agree with El).

The only reason why SI's causing such a big thing, is that he was an over-the-top character that was always in our face as potrayed by the mdeia. This can be interpreted as either anoying or funny. And because of that, when he died, it seems to many people that something familiar is gone. And that is.

In the end everyone is entitled to their opinion. But please, the bottom line, is someone's dead and pay respect (if you choose to).

yeh, good call legenD, personally, i think he was cool, and the love he had for animals was unreal, down to earth guy u no, that was funny, but he died what he loved doing, its inspirational, and makes u think...for instance, he did what he could for animals, i should have the same passion and inthusiasm for my job as he did..

i dunno what else to say, i wish his family all the best, espcially his kids

I agree with charlie527 he tried his hardest to show the world what our animals down hear in Australia are like. But theres always some tool that thinks its about time he died like Germaine Greer. Its people like this that hurt those close to Steve especially his family and friends.

From her perspective, he did provoke the animals and to some extent... I think he did invade their personal space to get a reaction. But that was the 'fun' of it and that was what he did. He provoked them but did not hurt them. Before anyone starts with me.....

Thinking about what you said and your exactly right but it still doesn't really give her the right to say what she said. Especially since theres so many people grieving over his death.

I was just pointing out IAMspam's double standards, and lack of morals. It gets on its soapbox preaching that everyone should pay respect to Steve Irwin, yet it diss-es the death of my dad.

It is a lowly dog, and will truly regret saying that. Not many people get on my bad side, but when they do, I have absolutely no mercy for them. Enjoy your new life IAMspam.

You owe me one HUGE appology

Of course he provoked it. Has anyone here sat and watched his documentaries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In response to this issue, he even says himself: 'People ask me, but arent you stressing the animals by instantly taking them from their 'world', and holding them for the camera. And I say yes, but only for people who never get the opportunity to these beauties in the natural way. If I only ever reach one person, my job has been accomplished.

Have you seen the footage where he leaps out of the dinghy, straight on top of a sea turtle. Heck, watch ANY of his documentaries and you will see that his personal signature. (grabbing something straight from the wild, with an invinceable attitude).

Secondly, have any of you seen how short the tail are on a spotted reef stingray????????

He would have had to of been right on top of it to pierce his chest cavity, and through to his heart. Do you realise the force involved to drive a barb that deep?????????

One day, me and my mates were drag netting the inlet here, for white bait and caught a ray.

We got it out of the net, and my friend used his foot to flip it back into the water and it spun around and struck him . . . well, you should have heard him, it took all three of us to pin him down, (to stop his heart from racing, and spreading the poison) and drive him to Cairns Base hospital.

Although I am not a qualified marine biologist, I do know what I am talking about. I live on the ocean after all.

As he had done countless times before, I truly believe he knew what he was doing was dangerous, but I am sure that the worst he ever thought would happen to him, was, get struck on the arm or leg.

How tragically wrong he was.

Alright deej. I'm sorry. I never even meant any disrespect in the first place, i can't even remember what happened, ok, umm. How do i say this. I basically was trying to prove a point. At the time i didn't think i wsa going to far but i probably did, my bad judgement. I just thought that if you were comparing their (steve + your father) deaths then i just hit you with a comeback. But i kind of got mixed up.

I'll just act like a 9 year old for the rest of my life. ... maybe i should grow up .. oh .. and i'll jsut let you all know i'd probably never normally say that. Just a plain brain explosion. Djaye if you feel like you need to give me a finnagan flame, then feel free to add me to msn the_colonel_123@hotmail.com.
