I got a few more assignments to do too + I've got half yealy exams next week!!

Any tips on studying? I've never done it before and not fallen asleep. This is my last year at hschool too!!!

Gotta hate iPhones qwerty keyboard. Does apple seriously think everyone has tiny hands? Even in landscape mode!!!

Never, EVER study with music on, it ruins your concentration.

Also, writing down notes over and over is good. Your brain remembers 10% of what it sees once, and that boosts up to about 45% if you right it down.

Have 2 books, one for task work, the other for notes. Take heaps of notes. Gives you something to sit back on later, organisation! Much easier to study your notes, and re-writing them, rather than writing them out for the first time, having to go through an entire text book to find the info.

no offence, but wrote learning is the worst way to revise.

The best way to do revision is to do short stints over periods of time.

For any topics i learn I:
One night: Highlight with 2 colours (main idea in 1 colour then all the detail in another)
the night after that one: Convert that to a page with 3 margins (topic, heading, detail)
1 week later: Convert that to a brainstorm with only 2 extensions from the center for each thing (eg, your main topic could be USA in the 1920's, branching off that could be unemployment, you could then branch multiple things off this, but dont then branch off those things) using minimal linking words (words like and, as, do)
up to 1 month later: Shrink this brainstorm into a smaller one, using less words.

This is a method that helps to let you remember something little, and from that unravel it in your head and remember more details about it.

It doesn't take very long each time so it works for me as long study sessions dont work well for me. Also, wait until you have about 8 to 10 pages of notes before you do this as there is no point doing it to just one page. You also have to have a separate dairy or something and date you revision to keep track of your progress with each new section you start.

Thanks for the suggestions for studying. Ehh got a maths test tomorrow.

Might drop yr 10, go to Tafe and do hospitality or (as stated above) go to army. Maybe even a cook in the army lol.

Well above average, but well below what i had averaged throughout high school in my marks. It was expected though, I didn't really care/set myself any real goals. Still high enough to get into Uni though
