I was thinking about MGS4 this morning, after playing some Substance yesterday (The 'snake tales' are really messed up!) and i thought..
Is it going to be auto-save, like all the ps3 and psp games atm, or is it going to stick with tradition and only save when you call 140.96??

It would be a good idea if they made auto-save optional. I personally prefer saving manually, It makes it seem more realistic that way.

yer, and like when you're outa ammo etc, and wanna go back an hour or so, you can load one of your many other saves

.. i reckon optional saves will be best!
Also have you heard anything about a pre-play install (whatever they're called), as Assassins Creed has one, and I think DMC had a 5GB one, which takes a painful 20mins to load copy! (they make loading times shorter btw, but have to copy to HDD before you can play)
Cos its supposed to be HUGE, and Hideo said himself that he couldn't fit everything he wanted on there.. will the rest be run of the HDD??

Quick update on the MGO scene.. looks like you're going to need at least a 128kbps u/l and 128kbps d/l to play online.. thankfully i just meet the requirements.. (128 up, up to 4mb down)
To run as server though, you're gonna need 256k u/l and 512k d/l .. dont look like ill be hosting any MGO tournaments..

but ill still be there on day one!

look out for Serendipiddy!

EDIT
There's also a whole lot of MGS4/PS3 merch coming out too..
ie Charging stand (from Hori) and MGS4 brand MDR-DS7000 (7.1 channel wireless headphones) releasing around early June.

The stand is kinda cheap IMO..

I meant that it would be more realistic to have to call up someone everytime you wanna save, and besides time passes when you save doesnt it? So it'll seem akward with autosave.

I think your one of the first people to comment on my double-posting

If you still dont understand, then think a bit like GTA. You always have to go back to your house to save, that way it seems more realistic, the same goes for MGS using the codec, ya digg?
